Starting with the problem.
I did not begin with a single industry in mind. Nataraja Labs began with enterprise intelligence. Registering the company for government procurement exposed another set of problems, which became askTender.
Medini grew from questions about property, ownership and capital. The Nataraja Labs Research Foundation is intended to give longer-horizon inquiry an institutional home.
These initiatives are at different stages. What connects them is an interest in how information becomes usable, who can participate in a system and what infrastructure is missing.
Explore the initiativesFollowing the system.
I usually enter a subject because I need to solve something. I keep following it until I understand who participates, where the information sits and which rules shape what can happen.
Procurement is one example. Looking for a government contract led to questions about eligibility, access and the companies that never consider government as a customer.
I am also interested in institutions over longer periods: how they persist, how technology changes them and what those changes mean for India and human civilisation.
